Getting Started
ACCOUNT SETUP
Required first step. You must create an Astra Client account before using social features, cosmetics, and other essential parts of the client.
1
Open the login screen
You'll be automatically directed to the login page on first launch. You can also reach it anytime by pressing the Login button in the top-right of the main menu.
2
Choose your username
Enter the username you want to use in-game. This cannot be changed once you're logged in. If your preferred name is taken, you can submit a ticket in the Discord — though staff cannot guarantee you'll receive it.
3
Set a strong password
Choose a strong password. This also cannot be changed later. All passwords and account data are hashed and stored securely on our backend.
4
Sign up or log in
Press Sign Up if you're creating a new account, or Login if you're returning to an existing one.
Social Features
FRIENDS & REQUESTS
1
Open the Socials screen
Click the Socials button in the top-right of the main menu, or in the top-right of the in-game pause menu.
2
Send a friend request
Navigate to the Requests tab. Type the username of the player you want to add, then press Send. The request will reach them whether they're online or not.
3
Chat with accepted friends
Once they accept, go to the Friends tab. You'll see their name, status, and current server. Open a chat to message them directly.
Messages are only delivered while your friend is online. This is a temporary security implementation that will be updated in a future release.
Social Features
PRIVATE MESSAGING
DMs and group chats follow you across every server in real time. Messages are encrypted on the backend — no one outside your conversation can read them.
Important. Even though messages are encrypted, you must not send sensitive personal information — passwords, financial details, or private data — through this service under any circumstance.
In-Game Tools
WAYPOINTS
1
Open the Waypoints menu
Open the in-game pause menu and click Waypoints in the top-right corner.
2
Create a waypoint
Enter a name for your waypoint, then enter coordinates manually — or press Current to automatically fill in your current position. Press Save to create it.
3
Delete a waypoint
In the Waypoints menu, click the name of the waypoint you want to remove, then press Delete.
Waypoints can optionally log your last known death location as a ping — handy for recovering your items.
In-Game Tools
SCHEMATICS
Schematics use the custom .aschem format built specifically for Astra Client 2. Open the Schematics menu from the in-game pause menu by pressing Schematics in the top-right corner.
Saving a schematic
1
Get the Schematica Stick
In the Schematics menu, press Give Schematic Stick. This adds a client-side item called the Astra Schematica Stick to your inventory.
2
Select your area
Use the Schematica Stick to select the region you want to capture in-world.
3
Save and export
Return to the Schematics menu and click Save Selection. Then press Export .aschem to download the file and share it however you like.
Importing a schematic
1
Import the file
In the Schematics menu, press Import and select your .aschem file.
2
Position and preview
Move to where you want to place it. Press Anchor = Current to lock that as the paste origin, and make sure Preview is set to On so you can see the placement before committing.
3
Adjust orientation and paste
Use the controls in the Schematics menu to rotate or mirror the build to your liking, then paste when ready.
Have a standard .schematic file from another tool? Use the Astra Converter to convert it to .aschem format — entirely offline, right in your browser.
